Prologue is the first song on the Coheed and Cambria's 2018 album Vaxis - Act I: The Unheavenly Creatures.

Know now there is no time
Space between the well and unknowing
Our story starts there
Well into our future, yet far beyond our past
In a romance between a pair of unheavenly creatures

The Five Houses of the Star Supremacy have privatized the detention zones of the galaxy
These planetary prison pits reassembled from the cracked worlds of the Great Crash
Which brings us to our stage
Where the light must learn to love the black
The Dark Sentencer

This opening track takes place after an undetermined amount of time has passed since the events of No World for Tomorrow.

Narrated by Vaxis , this song sets the stage for the album to tell the story of his parents Nea (Sister Spider) and Nostrand (Creature), and their imprisonment within The Dark Sentencer. Vaxis briefly describes the events of The Great Crash, a cataclysmic event that seemingly destroyed the gravitational energy of the Keywork, forcing the 78 planets of Heaven's Fence to collide with one another and scatter across space. The remains of these planets, scarred and broken from the impact, were then repurposed by the Five Houses of the Star Supremacy, who converted them into private prisons where unthinkable life sentence awaited those who were confined there.
